| Power Supply Management Information System (PSMIS) is an integrated management information system for Power Feed Section. With the aid of computer network, PSMIS realizes management of electrical equipment and daily business . Resource sharing is its basic feature. It is another one to provide timely and correct information for decision makers when fault happens. Moreover, This system is able to send all kinds of reports to leaders by network.Previously, all information of Substation Automation System was sent to the control center. The control center only cares daily operation and handles fault, but doesn't do the work such as equipment diagnoses and protective operation analysis. Now, a part of information can be sent to PSMIS so as to realize information distributary. In this way, the technical staffs in the Power Feed Section are able to analyze and diagnose the running state of equipment according to the part of information.Information Management and Action Analysis Subsystem of Protection is founded as a subsystem of PSMIS in this paper. With the help of this subsystem, technical staffs are able to comprehensively know fault state and correctly analyze fault reason and protective action.Firstly, object-oriented programming method and relation database technology are used to realize protective information management, with a multiple tires' client/server architecture. Using it, the technical staffs can check all kinds of reports, fault waves and setting values of protection. Secondly, based on protective principles of TA21 series protection devices, protective function is simulated by using object-oriented technology. Thirdly, the main frame of an objected-oriented expert system (ES) of protective action analysis is set up initially. The result of protection simulation, fault report and event report is used to construct fact database.Besides, in order to ensure correct analysis of protective action, the check for winding connector is designed in this paper.
