Application Research Of EIS Orienting Financial Information Analysis

The computerization of business flow improves the efficiency and Management of an enterprise, but these application systems are usually ready for middle and low level managers, the senior managers need their own broad view information systems adapting to themselves. Executive Information System(EIS)is designed for the top leaders, which is the special information system used to query the global information of an enterprise and to analyze the situation in all aspect of an enterprise and historical trend. This thesis states two issuees: the requirement and support technology of EIS.EIS differs from traditional MIS systems, it's not very easy to identify definitely the demand of EIS, because the leaders usually can't state explicitly their own true requirement. Therefore, identifying the requirement of leader is where the shoe pinches. This thesis discusses all kinds of approaches to identify the requirement of leaders, and analyzes the relative merits of each one. In addition, a pattern of information demand for leaders is presented. EIS is used by the top leaders of an enterprise, but usually the top leaders are not familiar to computers. So EIS system has to be made excellent and easy to user interfaces should be friendly. To achieve these two goal, this thesis addresses the information acquisition, information analysis and information display in EIS by the example of a fact finance-oriented EIS.The practice shows that the EIS built in financial field can improve the analysis and utilizing of financial information for leaders, and can enforce the control to finance.
