| The paper states a kind of universal database access tool that has the cross platform ability over databases.The software is based on OLE DB, ADO technique and implemented by Microsoft Visual C++TM and in the same time, I also used Borland Delphi and Borland C++ Builder to promote its power in some aspects. The software has powerful access ability to databases. It can display and export the data in tables, can import and export the database objects, and provide the uniform user interfaces on different databases. Visual SQL Editor is also a powerful visual editor, which allows users to edit SQL in a colorful and friendly editor. And lastly, I design the tool as a platform with automationâ‘ function, that is to say, the tool can be used in the programming languages, such as Visual Basic and so on.This thesis is written in such sequence: the software's basic principal, research background, software requirement, analysis, design, and implementation.
