Research On Distributed PDM-Based CAPP System

With the development of enterprise information construction and establishing of dynamic ally among enterprises, it is very important to focus on the research of distributed CAPP system. Process planning needs cooperation, the accumulation of knowledge and rapid reuse, which requests that contemporary CAPP system is a integrated distributed application system. After the presentation of computer aided process planning, combined with the concept of product data management (PDM) and development of CAPP system, the paper puts forward the ideology of distributed PDM-based CAPP system. This paper expounds emphatically the key technologies and content. After the analysis about the status of enterprise process planning, combined with the concept of Client/Server structure, the paper discusses the modeling of CAPP system in distributed circumstance, presents the frame and realizing methods of distributed PDM-based CAPP system.
