Research And Implement Of WEBGIS On Internet

Geographical Information System(GIS) is a System of describing the current and change spatial characters of globe, on which we live, with digital data, and it implement the functions of inputing/outputing , storing, displaying spatial data with its attribute data , and of spatial searching, synthesize analyzing, assistant decision-making. With the devlopment of Internet/WWW and the concept of "digital globe" , the tradition GIS is developing to CIS of Network and data sharing. WEBGIS is a combine System of Internet and GIS technology, and this make the GIS into the masses tools from "expert system" .It is the necessity that change the spatial storage from file system to database. The storage method of spatial data is also a hotspot of WEBGIS researching. We research how to construct a spatial data model on Oracle Spatial (Database) , and then construct our Object-oriented spatial data model. We provide a WEBGIS system which introduce the technology of J2EE, distribute componet, muti-layer and Oracle Spatial data storage; the user can use it with vector spatial data.Object-Oriented spatial data mode and all component frame construct are the points and innovations for this paper. The WEBGIS is different from the tradition GIS on constructing and studing, for the difference of the applying entironment. For example, the method of statistics and operational research are more important in WEBGIS. It is a research way How to construct a globe optimum WEBGIS system , not only a GIS system of implementing the functions of GIS.
