The Computer Test System Of The Relay Time Parameter

Relay is a kind of auto control apparatus, which is acted with the special input signal. As the relay is widely used in many kinds of control systems, in order to ensure these systems' reliability and security, we must do a high efficient, objective and full-scale test to the relay before it leaves the factory. The relay's electric parameters guarantee it to work reliably. The time parameter is an important one of the electric parameters, which affects the relay's operation frequency and its arc and electric life. To test the time parameter, namely, is to test the operate time, release time and bounce time when the relay's winding is put or removed the rated voltage. These parameters (especially the bounce time) are very essential to relay's rated load.This paper mainly presents the computer test system of the relay time parameter when the relay controls the DC circuit. The system consists of two parts, the test part and the control and display one. The test part mostly tests the state of the relay's contact. The control and display part controls the test part and displays the result. The paper deals with two approaches of control and display. One uses PC as the control and display part. The other uses the touch panel to control and display. This paper brings forward two test systems because of the difference of the control and display part.In addition, this paper also introduces the test method when the relay's load is AC circuit.The experiment verified that the computer test system of relay time parameter is feasible. And it has been applied in Xiamen Hongfa Electroacoustic Co. Ltd.
