The integration of supervisory control information is the basis for advanced control, operational optimization, scheduling, planning, decision making and data mining activities. It's of great importance to process production and management. Well designed and implemented information integration benefits a lot to improve manufactory economics and to response rapidly to market demand.Nowadays, supervisory control information integration relies more and more heavily on software and network techniques, which is developed incredibly fast these years and applied widely and provenly among different domains. Open architecture such as XML (extended Mark-up Language) and wide area communication technique such as WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and WWAN(Wireless Wide Area Network) emerges in multitude in the last few years, which enriches the methods of information integration and solves the problems of the network communication under some special or difficult circumstance. The two topics of XML and GSM SMS and their application in supervisory control information integration are touched upon, based on the latest techniques in corresponding areas. Solutions are given for typical applications in data collection, data description and wide-range communication for petroleum enterprise. The main contributions are as follows:1, The history and functionality of information integration of process supervisory control is reviewed and analyzed. Demands and difficulties are outlined. Some new trends and solutions are presented.2. RFC(Remote Process Call) and RAC(Remote Application Communication) based on XML PRC and SOAP are introduced. The criterion of OPC and XML OPC is investigated combining the requirement of industrial supervisory control information integration, and the different types of remote data exchanging are compared. The advantage of remote application communication system based on XML is validated theoretically. The remote application data exchanging prototype system based on XML is developed. XML data schema according with the XML RPC standard and XML SQL criterion is designed. Remote access for cross-platform database on embedded system is realized to demonstrate the author's idea.3. The problem of heterogeneous data integration in industrial supervisory control is presented and analyzed. A solution based on XML is proposed with combination of different layers of data storage, data logic and presentation, human-machine interface. An XML-based system is developed to meet the demands of laboratory data publishing with complex structure. This system involves self construction of user interface from XML schema^ lab data conversion into XML format, XML storage algorithm into RDBMS(relation database manager system), query and reconstruction of XML from the RDBMS.4. The idea of Very Long Distance Data Communication (VLDDC) is presented, with its functionality and characteristics analyzed. Solution for VLDDC based on GSM SMS is presented and its implementation is detailed. The requirement of script language is emphasized and its embedding, implementation and extension is described. The security problem in VLDDC is analyzed and some authentication and security net is designed to ensure the safety and stability of information system.
