Research On Engineering Database System Supporting Cooperative Design

Wth the Wde use of the CAD systems and the raPid groWth of the computernetwOrk, in the engineering design, the CAD systems in a single compllter haven'tbeen able to be adaPed to the requrements of the market competition. It begins todevelop the compllter-suPported cooperative design (CSCD) system, bycombining the CAD technologies with the computer-suPported cooperative work(CSCW) technologies.The comPUter-suPPorted cooPerative design (CSCD) is the furtherdevelopment of the CAD technologies, and the valid data sharing in the process ofdesign is the precondition of the cooperative design; in the cooperative designprocess, the management of knowledge and data for communicating, hannonizing,decision-making is the radical guaranee fOr succeeding in the cooperative designsystem. As a part of the national 863 planned project -- "200lAA41l320regional modem integrated manufacture system development and aPplicationat the core of Chengdu, Deyang and Mianyang" and the science and technologykey prOject of Sichuan Province -- "the engineering configuration Intelligeni CADtechnology oriellted the process of design", this paPer do a deep research anddiscussion abollt the engineering database systems which suPport the cooperativedesign. Detailed content includes:(l) Introduce the background of the cooperative design and its characteristics.Based on these, the structUre of the cooperative design system CO-S--CAD ispurposed, and the main functions of each module in this system are analyzed,Which founds the base to realize the Whole system.(2) Aimed at the requirements of the cooperative design for the databasesystem, the engineering database system S--DBS is extended and enhanced inlogic structllfe and functions. So an overall plan of the engineering databasesystem CO-SnBS is accomPlished, Which suPports the cooperative design.(3) Discuss the key modules in the engineering database system CO-SnBS,and also provide a basic framework to realize it, as well as the design affair modelof the engineering database system CO-S--DBS which suPports the cooperativedesign.m(4) Do a deep research on the privilege management of the engineering database system CO-S_DBS, and aimed at the requirements of the cooperative design for the privilege management, purpose a privilege management model S_PMM. This model can not only provide the well-designed structure of the privilege control table and the paniculate privilege control, but also support role mechanism, positive and negative privilege mechanism, concealed privilege mechanism, which well satisfies the requirements of the cooperative design. So far, the privilege management function of the engineering database system CO-S_DBS is realized, by combining this model.
