The Design And Implementation Of Network Management System For Gigabit Ethernet Switch

Network management is an essential part of network system. Its purpose is to meet the user's requirements,ensure the network devices to work reliably,safely and efficiently. The gigabit ethernet switch SRG1000 is a research production of 863 project. An effective network management system must be implemented for it.The paper summarized the implementation of the network management software Sunrays Manager for SRG1000 Ethernet Switch. At first,the paper discussed the theory of SNMP,then introduced the hardware system and device driver. In addition,the paper described the architecture of the software,the implementation of agent,network management station and web-based management in detail. In the end,the paper gave some comments on the software.The paper also included some usual implementary technique and main design thinking.
