In order to solve a variety of problems that restrict the development of cement industry production engineering theory and key technology, the Cement Production Processing Computer Simulation System (CPPCSS) is put forward. This paper is one of the sub-task of CPPCSS. It carries out the research and development through three aspects: simulation and modeling, database managing, simulation training. The author's main workings are given as follows:Firstly, the author has read a lot of literatures and gotten into the producing on the spot. He understands the cement producing process in detail. The cement producing process craftwork flow and the three important equipments of cement kiln are introduced in this paper.Secondly, the mechanism of cement kiln is complicated comparatively. It has some characteristics, such as time-changing, distributing parameter, non-linearity, time-lag. The math model of cement kiln is difficult to describe accurately. Neural Network (NN) has abilities of learning memory, self-organizing and self-adaptation. It offers means for the control of system that is non-linearity and has more variables. The author analyzes a great deal of the production parameters and select ten primary inspection parameters and four primary control parameters. The input-output connection model of cement kiln was gained by using of NN. Simulation experiment result indicates that the training effect is good and the model is satisfied with the requirement. The modeling instrument is the NN toolbox in the Matlab5.3 and the modeling methods are BP and RBF. We compare simply these two methods based on cement kiln. The math model has some applied value. If an input is given, the model can calculate the output .The Worker can consult the numerical value to adjust and control the cement producing process.Thirdly, the Cement Kiln Simulation System (CKSS) is a big computer simulation system. It has a lot of data, for example, technical parameters, production data, modeling initialization data and parameters etc. It must be supported by the strong database on the background. The author divides all the involved data into eight sorts and builds two databases.The knowledge of database accessing based on Web is introduced in the paper. The author compares the interface scheme between Web application system and database. The author gets the conclusion in the following: Java language has good ability of network programming and some other excellences. The mean of JDBC is normative on programming, clear on interface, high efficient on researching. So the database of the Cement Kiln Simulation is managed by use of Relational Database and JDBC (Java Database Connection) programming technology.Fourthly, The Cement Kiln database managing program is programmed in the environment of Jbuilder. The Running result indicates that the program has theuniversal function of database managing. The database managing program is fit for different platform and terminal configuration. If the terminal has JDK (Java development Kit), then the database managing program can run. So it is benefit for the database maintenance.Fifthly, In the interest of the implement of training function of Cement Kiln Simulation System and providing realistically for the Virtual Reality environment, the solid chart, motive graph and model of cement equipment have built in this paper. 3D Studio Max and VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) are utilized in this paper. At last the Authorware is used to bring all of them forth vividly.Finally, for the sake of the task's research in-depth, the author sums the working of present phases and does some expectation on it for the future.The research in this paper has definite theoretic and practical value. It also makes the solid basis for later development of this simulation system.
