This Master's thesis aims at developing a new centralized supervision and control system for telecommunication power supply, and concentrates on the optimized design on the original system. The greatest emphases are the optimized design of the data transfer methods. The system is designed to meet the substation data acquisition and control requirement of country-level telecommunication power supply. The system has the following outstanding features: good real-time performance, high expandability, anti-interference, high accuracy and friend Chinese man-machine interface and so on.Based on the requirement analysis, the whole design is carried out firstly. Secondly, the software design and the hardware components of remote supervision and control module are discussed. The industrial control computer consisting of A/D board, I/O board and mainboard replaced the singlechip in the remote station, and it's characters are introduced. For software design, the related algorithms such as scale transform, digital filters are discussed. Thirdly, the design and implementation of central station software are presented, and attention is paid to the design of the man-machine interface and development of the database. The following content is the key segment of this thesis. Several protocols which are used in data transfer such as TCP/IP protocols and methods of checking errors are introduced in this chapter. As the primary task of the supervision and control system, data transfer using MODEM has some disadvantage, therefore we put forward some optimized design of the data transfer mode, which uses TCP/IP protocols to control data transfer in communication network. As the assistant methods, we use MODEM and private communication. In the following, the realization of the two methods by using Winsock and MSComm ActiveX are given. Finally, there is the summary of the thesis and the future of the centralized supervision and control system fortelecommunication power supply.
