Research Of The Existing Gprs System And Partially Testing

Along with the booming development of the data service,many traditional phone services have blended the functions of data transmission in different degrees. It is not exceptive for Data Cell Mobile Communications that regard GSM and CDMA as primary technique. While traditional voice service is continually developing,supporting IP and high speed data service has already become an evolutive direction of 2G mobile communications system,which will become the main service characteristic of 3G mobile communications system. Now,rapidly developing mobile and packet data communications are presenting a mutual-fusion-trend of which GPRS can be regard as the first step.Based on principles of building GPRS network,and taking a typical province network as example,the structure of GPRS network is detailedly explained in this paper. Then referring to the distribution projects of IP address in existing GPRS network,the author analyzed and compared relative merits of deferent projects and brought up a new project:because both Chinese GPRS network and exterior data network are actually the same physical network,considering the GPRS network security which is ensured by invisibility relative to exterior network,GPRS network facilities try their best to employ private address in order to detach logically GPRS core-net from exterior network through packet filtration of firewall and router;Because of the deficiency of public IP address recourses,the employment of public IP address should be minimized. At last,the performance of actual GPRS network is investigated in two aspects:The compatibility testing of Gn interface and road-testing. After the testing,problems appear in the test process is analyzed so that we can quantificationally evaluate the performance of the existing GPRS network.the above proceeding work,deepened the cognition to GPRS network,revealed the characteristic of GPRS technique,informed the evolutive direction of mobile communications.
