Traditionary mechanistic limited by specialized subject,is confined as a private action. A designer working on the condition of stand-alone or lonely user,even in a design group,can not able to share his design works. The requests of different specialitis are different,which makes reiteration of design project and wastes time and manpower.This thesis sets out from the intersection of Computer Supported Cooperative Work science and mechanistic design and manufacture theory,studies haw to apply the cooperative work to mechanistic design and manufacture industry. Some basic theroies about the Current Engineering and the environments and tools of Computer Supported Cooperative Design are descussed at the same time,such as the network construction model of cooperative design,conformity of the cooperative CAD and communion technology. On this base of above knowledge,a second development on AutoCAD system ,which achieves some primary requests of the computer support cooperative design,was carried.On the condition of distributed netword environment,design group working with the cooperation CAD will improve efficiency,shorten cycle,reduce cost. It's believed that Computer Support Cooperative Work is an essential method for industry's transformation from traditionary manufacturing to information manufacturing.
