CAN (Controller Area network) bus is a kind of field bus, It has advantages such as multiple masters, high transmit rate, high data safety, and it is wildly used in many kinds If control processes. This paper proposes originally to use CAN bus in battery DC distribution screen supervisory control system. And this can provides real time and reliable supervisory control for this system.The most important characteristics of embedded system is that it is in the face of the measure control object of industry control field and embedded into the industry control application system. So the volume of the system must be as little as possible and it has powerful anti-jamming ability.Battery DC screen supervisory control system is made up of several supervisory control nodes and CAN bus. There are two kinds of supervisory control nodes. One kind of them is based on the 80C592 micro-controller which has inside CAN controller. The other is based on 89C52 micro- controller and SJA1000 CAN controller. All the control nodes are linked by CAN bus and thus make up an area network. The commands and data can be transmitted between the nodes. This paper proposes efficient supervisory measure and calculation method to A^ D^ insulation to ground-, ampere-time capacity of the DC screen. System software is programmed in Franklin C51 and assembly language.
