Today,in the field of the computer applications,MIS(Management Information System) is a kind of wide-used software. With the help of this computer system,modern enterprises can manage the internal affairs and develop the electro-business well. And also,this will help them to raise the work efficiency. Therefore,it is a very important task for the IT workers to develop a suitable,convenient and multi-functional MIS software.Because more and more corporations are setting up their own LAN and Internet is developing at a very high speed,the MIS software with WWW services becomes very fashionable. So,we programmers must not only research on the creating method and process of the traditional MIS softwares based on the Client/Server mode but also learn the latest development in MIS,including WWW services based upon Browser/Server mode.On the basis of a complete analysis of the theories of the software engineering,database,network structure and the net safety strategy,this paper deeply and detai ledly discusses the structures,characteristics and developing technology of a typical MIS system with both the C/S mode and the B/S mode. Especially,by describing the whole developing process of this real MIS system named The Hotel Integrated Management Information System,this paper expatiates detailedly upon its request analysis of software functions,developing method,database setting up,network constructing and net securities design. Besides,this paper also shows the differences in the programming,the database access mode and the net truss between the C/S part and the B/S part of this MIS system. At last,the author puts forward his own opinions about the way of MIS Building and the applied scope of the C/S mode and the B/S mode respectively.
