Development Of Multimedia Courseware And Education Administration Subsystem Based On IP Technology

To realize the true mode of running a school on the Internet, two main questions must be resolved in the multimedia distance education system. They are making of multimedia courseware and the support platform for the whole education system. The research content of this thesis is multimedia courseware and education administration subsystem.The whole system adopts B/S mode of three-layer structure, and the education administration subsystem has been implemented by using modularized programming idea and ASP technology and SQL Server 7.0. Some validating mechanism and safe information transmission method have been used to improve the security of the system.In the course of making multimedia courseware, the prominent issue is how to resolve the contradiction between vision effect and transmission bandwidth. From this view, the thesis takes the audio signal as the main object to overcome. The audio signal has first been condensed and coded using ADPCM technology, and then has been disposed using streaming media technology from two aspects, which are coding format and transmission control. The proportion of condensation is 1/24, and it is perfect. On this basis, four kinds of courseware have been designed and implemented. Been compared from four aspects, such as file size, difficulty extent of implementing, universal character and teaching effect, the best projects have been brought forward that are separately suitable for WAN and LAN. So the core issue of the multimedia distance education system based on IP technology has been resolved.
