A system that can monitor the track state by means of CCD (Charge Coupled Device) array and infrared LED (Light-Emitting Diode) is designed in the thesis, which named track state dynamic inspection device.First, the domestic status quo of track inspection and the overseas development of track inspection device are introduced in the thesis. Based on the introduction, three schemes to monitor the track irregularity by means o f photoelectric inspection technology are put fonvard in the thesis: using photosensitive diode, using CCD array wfth computer, using CCD array with single chip computer. We adopted the third scheme after many experiments. The components were described in the thesis first, then the inspection principles and working flow of the track state dynamic inspection device are given in detail. Finallv, the designs and calculates of the system's hardware and software are provided in the thesis. The experiment data from the site where the system operated was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively in the thesis.The designs of the system's hardware includes the designs of the circuits that drive the CCD and the circuits that process the video signals, the designs and calculates of the optical imaging svstem, and the track inspection sub-board. The circuits driving the CCD and processing the video signal are implemented by means of CPLD (Complex Programmable Logic Device) and HDL (Hardvvare Description Language). The solution to solve the problem of multi-level logical competitive risks that occur in CPLD circuits frequently was provided in details in the thesis. To improve the data sampling velocity o f CCD, and take account o f the match of the CCD and the illumination of the lamp-house, the max integral time of the CCD was calculated in the thesis; thus, the proper integral cycle is determined.The design of the system's software includes the theoretical analysis of the model of track irregularity, the theory for restoring the original vvaveform of the railway track irregularity, the math model of the ground processing software and the arithmetic to distinguish the track irregularity types.The system is installed on the axis of the locomotive's wheel. It inspects the track irregularity in a real-time, dynamic and photoelectric way. By measuring the track of the wheel running, the system can provide the type, depth, length, level and the location of the track irregularhy, so that it bring a positive effect on the check and maintain of the track, and it can monitor and control of the security of raflway traffic.
