Application And Development Of MIS Based On Internet/Intranet

With the rapid progress of the Internet, the development of Information System has now entered a new stage. The traditional Management Information System can't meet the needs of enterprise information construction.lt is a disadvantage of the traditional MIS that the information is only inside of enterprise not outside, and settling this problem is a very important reason why the Intranet is advancing rapidly.Development of MIS based on Internet/Intranet puts to use the advanced technology of the Internet within enterprise.lt changs designing structure,developping and application environment of the traditional IS very much by the simple browsing interface and the convenient integrating all the kind of existing services. Now This method is adopted firstly by enterprise IS because it breaks up the restriction of the share of information.This paper gives an overview of the theory about development of MIS based on Internet/Intranet, at the same time, combines the project of graduate information management system, and uses advanced technology currently-ASP(Active Server Page) to issue, query and maintain the graduate information on the Internet. Because the method solves many problems of the traditional MIS, we can get a conclusion that development of MIS based on Internet/Intranet is completely reliable.
