| With the rapid development of technology of computer, network, data communication and automation, industry automation is on the road of SAS (strategic automation system). The main content of SAS is to combine ail of production elements in a plant through the integration of all the information, to optimize the business and management process and to get the best profit from the market. Especially to process industry, the main job is to accomplish the integration of management and process control, and then to succeed in integration of application.This paper discusses the problems from three aspects, which must be faced in the realization of data integration of management and process. At the same time, it provides methods to solve the above problems according to the system architecture summarized from the developing practice.The first is how to solve the problem caused by heterogeneous systems in the process of data access. The OPC technology is the best solution to this problem. The mechanic of OPC is analyzed in this paper, and a basic demo system for OPC is implemented. Further more, we applied the OPC technology into engineering practice, and developed an experiment system for advanced process control teaching based on OPC.The second is how to realize the universal access to management and process information in the Web environment. This paper provides a component for data access based on OLE DB. By oriented object encapsulating the process of data access , the component can implement the integration of heterogeneous data sources and it can combine with ASP to constitute the mid-layer of three-layers architecture.Finally, it is significant for process industry to synthesize the management andprocess data. A new point and method have been proposed with the developing of dada warehousing for this purpose. A simplified data warehousing system is brought out in this paper, and this system embodies the basic idea of data warehousing: topic oriented and integration.
