With the development of equipment tending to high speed, high power, good stabilization and large scale, the existing methods show a lot of disadvantages, such as low commonality, insufficient diagnosis knowledge, single solution, incomplete analysis measures. So it's difficult for the existing methods to diagnose the complex equipment faults. What's more, the technique development of computer, network communication and artificial intelligence make the base of distributed fault diagnosis system. The emphasis of this paper is the structure research of the distributed fault diagnosis system based on CORBA. This system has the virtues of practicability, expansibility, more diagnosis measures combine and distributed diagnosis.The design method of the distributed fault diagnosis system based on CORBA is studied. The research mainly includes:① the structure design of distributed fault diagnosis system,②the interface design of distributed fault diagnosis system,③the communication mechanism design of distributed fault diagnosis system,④the Agent service design of distributed fault diagnosis system,⑤the user interface design of distributed fault diagnosis system,⑥the diagnosis method of distributed fault diagnosis system, and so on. At last, the paper designs the distributed fault diagnosis system based on CORBA.The distributed fault diagnosis system is a development trend in fault diagnosis field. The dissertation will be use for the supervise system and the technology of fault diagnosis.
