It is proved that CPCH is suitable for non-real time, burst and packet data by deduction and simulation. And according to the up-to-date 3GPP technical specifications, the procedure of transmitting and receiving of CPCH is detailed. Then some practical and physical resource saving FPGA designed preambles (A-P & CD-P) searchers which are difficult and special in CPCH design are discussed in detail in the paper.The creations of this paper are focused on two points. The first is using Markov chain module analysis the throughput of CPCH based on the queuing theory and throughput theory, and using OPNET simulation proved the views. The second creation is use partial parellel match filter with FHT to search the preambles (A-P & CD-P). This kind of preambles searcher not only saves the FPGA area but also improves the ratio of successfully capturing the signatures.
