ABSTRACT With knowledge crystallization Method, the paper discusses research on knowledge representation, processing resolution, thinking model recognition in intelligent design process and collaborated design process and their implementation and computation technology. The following research works are done: 1. Definitions of knowledge molecules in Knowledge Crystallization Method. Based on the embedded knowledge and associated knowledge in general conceptual design process, for the first time, the paper presents the knowledge crystallization method aimed to simulate the intelligent design process, by using concepts of liquid, liquid-crystal and crystal state in chemistry as references. Based on three-state knowledge molecules, the theory discusses, in detail, the representation of three-state knowledge, studies the knowledge keys and knowledge entropy. 2. Simulating intelligent design process with Knowledge Crystallization Method. The paper discusses knowledge entropy equilibrium equation and minimum knowledge entropy theorem in dynamic open system of general design process. After given the concept of crystallization pool, the paper presents a simulation algorism for intelligent design process with Knowledge Crystallization Method. 3. Modeling intelligent collaborated design process. Based on Knowledge Crystallization Method, an intelligent process was described; supposing that intelligent collaborated design process is constituted with several intelligent design processes. Then knowledge entropy equilibrium equations were given under the intelligent collaborated design process. 4. Based on the above modeling intelligent collaborated design process, the paper presents a general universal, efficient system model for collaborated design process. By using sub-model to represent knowledge molecule and using constraint to represent knowledge key, the paper gives a constraint-based distributed intelligent design system model, and describes the system model with three-layer: 1. Display object-centered display layer; 2. The constraint layer, which represents different knowledge sub-model and maintains integrality; 3. Knowledge layer which pays attention to different expertise. 5. Based on the above intelligent collaborated design system model, the paper presents a method of constraint-based conflict harmonization. At first, we defines a constraint-based collaborated design process and conflict-harmonization; Then, based on constraint, the paper defines model, client-model and etc.; secondly, it discusses how the conflicts are engendered and classified in the constraint-based collaborated design process; At end, with constraint satisfaction equations in the process reasoned, the paper gives three steps to harmony the conflicts. 6. The paper verifies the Knowledge Crystallization Method in intelligent design process with mobile phone and tests an actual example----motorcycle under our MotorCCDS system.
