Study Of Technology In CAPP Based On CSCW Adapting To Rapid Production Preparation

Most of the present CAPP system focus on the automated generation of the process procedure of the part, giving little consideration to the whole process of process planning, such as the communication with designing and manufacturing. But the CAPP based on CSCW integrates the various activity in the process planning, realizes the technology exchanging of product development and the whole manufacturing process, improves the quality and efficiency of the process planning.According to this system, the key technology-conflict resolution and the model of CSCW base on agent- to realize it is studied in this paper. First, the process and characteristics of the forming and resolution of conflict and the important role of conflict resolution in CSCW environment is analyzed, and an approach of rule-based conflict resolution is introduced . The conflict resolution knowledge in practice is regarded as a special kind of expertise and represented as production rules by us. The procedure of rule-based conflict resolution is proposed, and the corresponding support tool isimplemented by DEST------ a design expert system tool. Rule-based conflictresolution has the advantage of simplicity, quickness, and easy integration.Second, a collaborative work model based on intelligent agent is presented, where the agent is the basic unit of the system. According to this model, we proposed a new process plan design system based on it, offering detailed analysis on how to find and construct the agent in current CAPP system. The system can generate flexible process fit for practice based on distributed database and inference engine.
