Reducing the cost of management is a very important aspect for producing high-quality, low-cost products in the fierce market competition due to advancing technology, increasing technical contents and fixed assets. The traditional manual device mode, for some large enterprises, no longer meet the requirements of such equipment management. However, building computer equipment management information system for enterprise information management equipment is imperative. This paper, based on equipment, management theory and management information systems theory, considers actual situation of business equipment. In the initial system development, it has a deep and detailed research on device management of enterprise. In the meantime, it establishes a functional model of the system to be developed, maps out the corresponding data flow diagrams and data dictionary through the design of concept structure, logic structural design and physical design to complete equipment management system database design.Equipment management information system is developed from the method of object-oriented software design systems on the basis of functional requirements and non-functional requirements t operations for an in-depth investigation and analysis. By using C/S model to ORACLE as back-end server database, Using PowerBuilder 10 for the development of language, the visual interface and object-oriented technology closely integrated, and encapsulates the complexity of Windows programming; ORACLE can be easy to use, good scalability, high degree of integration with related software. System prototype is established, then the prototype is constantly revised and improved until the formation of a viable system is satisfied with customer.Equipment Accounting as the main starting point, the system realized from the equipment selection, procurement, into the plant, use, maintenance of the whole process until the final track management, provided equipment spare parts procurement, requisitioned from the whole inventory management. And system can also tie in with other departments to achieve enterprise data movement and management, it can be modernized, and efficient device management. System modules are:equipment investment program management, equipment procurement process management, equipment and depreciation ledger management, device status changes and equipment data files, equipment, dynamic operation management (including equipment inspection, repair, maintenance, operation, etc.), equipment, spare parts planning, procurement, Consuming management, equipment, analysis of statistical indicators related to the module. Also each module contains a number of different sub-modules which are used to implement different functions. Establishing the network database to support the establishment of the appropriate environment, using artificial input methods of basic data and obtaining the corresponding statistics data in order to control the equipment to run the basic situation. According to statistical analyzes, maintenance and economic evaluation, it has achieved integrated management of equipment.
