This paper is derived from the military application project.The electronic rivalry is now becoming an important factor in modem wars. People pay more and more attention to how to guarantee a continuous and secret communication. A good ability in anti_interference, apt to implement multiplex access communication, high frequency utility efficiency, FH communication has become a new pet in modem electronic wars.Firstly, the concept and the characteristic of FH communication are introduced in this paper. Then a scheme of VHF digital FH radio set is presented based on software radio and multi-sample rate signal processing technique. Secondly, the digital processing platform is designed with the TMS32OC3 1 DSP, HSP5O2 15 DUC and HSP50214 DDC etc. It uses IF digitization technique in signal processing. The receiving intermediate frequency is 455KHz and the transmitting intermediate frequency is 11.9MHz. DSP accomplishes the baseband signal processing, the DDC and the DUC deal with the transformation between baseband signal and IF signal, multi-sample rate signal processing, signal modulation and demodulation. The platform realizes not only the function of digital voice communication, data transmission and the control of frequency hopping, but also the multi-mode digital modulation and demodulation. It has great flexibility and universality. Lastly, the design and implementation of the control program and other related programs are discussed.
