Research On ATM Fiber Ring Management Technology

Combining with the national 863 hi-tech project "Applied Integrated Access System? network management of ATM access network is researched. Knowledge of network management is introduced. The research work is focused on software of management terminal and equipment management. The component-oriented programming is used for the software of management terminal. As for the equipment management software, the ideas to separate such work from the common agent using the middle component and to separate the management main control entity of the equipment from main control board as a single virtual are put forward. Based on these, the model and the design method of equipment management software are offered, with the implementation and debugging of control center module, which is the kernel of equipment management software. Also, several key technologies of the network management are discussed, including IP routing, communication between boards, and the implementation of the equipment information table.
