Research Of Broadband Access Technology Based On Hfc Network And Implementation Of The Provision Management

In the information era, the technologies of data communication have been developed greatly. SDH and ATM are the dominant technologies in the backbone networks and they can provide a lot of high speed data communication services that can meet what we need now. The technology of access network has become a hot topic and an issue of international concern. With the advent of the HFC network, the broadband access technology has grown into a new level.Besides the traditional analogy television services, HFC access network can provide many other data communication services, such as Internet access, telephone service, nebneeting and video on demand. In the prologue of the article,I expound current status of the development of HFC broadband access technology and the significance of the development of HFC network in our country,as well as the necessity to develop a community network resource management system.Then based on the introduction of access technologies,I introduce the structure of the HFC network,the characteristics of the I-IFC network,and DOCSIS specification as well.In the forth chapter,based on the research of DOCSIS,I particularly discuss and illustrate the interaction between the CM and the CMTS.In chapter five,I analyse the characteristics and needs of management of community network which is the main application of HFC access network in our country.I also describe the reason of the import of CORBA and Java to fit those characteristics and needs.We put forward a new model of community network resource management system based on CORBA and also implemented the provision module.
