Based on the theory of image processing arithmetic and the complex background of the inner cannon, the paper put up realtime image capturing method and high precision image measuring arithmetic. The inner cannon image capturing can be controlled flexible by setting the serial port communication and image capturing card parameter, such as the capturing modes, the adding characters, the locating flaws, the scaling distance and the autopreset data controlling. Because of the special working environment of the artillery peering and detecting system, the captured image may be distorted, or the flaw area may be larger than the field of view. In order to improve the precision of image measurement, the captured image must be preprocessed. Then the distorted image must be revised by using the distorted coefficient, which can be calculated by the standard scaled block. If the flaw area is bigger than the field of view, the flaw can be captured in a series of images. Then the series of images can be connected into a whole one by using the technique of image mapping. The real size of the flaw feature values(such as area, length and width) can be calculated by scaling the pixel on the spot.
