Research On Key Technology Of ATM Network Management

Based on ATM, B-ISDN can transfer the information of various services with a unified mode, which represents the trend of communication network. In order to keep good performance of network, network management is needed which makes the network works with highest validity and reliability. Based on the research and analysis of the basic theory of network management and simple network management protocol, the software of agent in the reference model of SNMP is designed and implemented combining with a research subject. According to ITU-T Recommendation 1.6 10 and the features of ISA, loopback function, activation & deactivation function and some aspects of performance monitoring, such as CLR, CMR. CTD, MCTD, CDV, which are OAM functions of ATM layer are implemented. The method of implementation of CRC- 10 with software is also presented.
