Study On The PRN Performance Of MIL-STD-188-220B

This paper studies the MIL-STD-188-220B protocol and develops the software of PRNET Vl.O. With this software, we study the structure and the work-mode of new packet radio network. Firstly, this paper presents the essential knowledge of packet radio network. On the base of MJL-STD- 1 88-220B protocol, it provides the key methods including five kinds of network access delay~ four types of operation for data communication between systems. intranet topology update and CNR management process. Secondly, this paper puts forward some mathematical models such as data mode, network mode, channel mode, simulative mode. Then with Visual C++6.O, the author develops the software PRNET Vi .0. Next, with the means of computer, we simulate the PRN work process, record the average transmission delay and the average packet lost probability. Finally, by analyzing the statistical results, we validate the performance of MJL-STD-188-220B, by discuss parameters, we get the factors affecting the network performance.
