Abstract As the fast development of the technology of internet and computer, and the emergence of E_business, OLAP, intelligent personal service, the worldwide management of the enterprise, etc, data and different computing resource need to transferred and managed in a distributed environment. middleware is needed to join all applications on different platforms to provide a single environment for the users. In this paper, two kind of standard about the technology of distributed object:CORBA and DCOM, are introduced, whose structure and the working procedure have been studied very carefully and deeply. Through the compare and analysis of their performance under different undergroundings, the valuable data and favorable suggestion are provided for the understanding and choose of middleware. In the study of the perfonnance of DCOM and CORBA,Java are used as the tools for the developing of the client and server applications, to eliminate the difference of the different programming languages. As java program is transplanting, and the middleware of distributed object provides a basic structure of distributed object on the internet, the unite of the two technologies is perfect. A developing model is given for the developing of DCOM. The load balancing is the important factor for the performance of the system. In this article, the stategy and method of load balancing are firstly discussed, based on the character of the middleware of distributed object,a model of dynamic load balancing based on the transactor and the algorithm of the model, the analyses have been done from the aspect of transparentcy and the performance.
