Design And Implementation Of Universal Transformation Middleware Based On CORBA And RESTful Web Service In Heterogeneous System

With the continuous development of information technology,CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture)has played an important role in many fields as a solution of information exchange in distributed environment.Although CORBA technology has been very popular,but CORBA also has many shortcomings,especially in the Internet environment.In recent years,as a solution to provide distributed services in the Internet environment,Web Service performed well.The latest RESTful Web Service closed with HTTP protocol,greatly simplifying the development process,reducing development costs.Some systems that use the CORBA framework have begun to adopt Web Service technology to implement the upgrade,in order to use Java technology as a maintenance platform.For the existing CORBA system which has large number of platforms,huge physical equipment and the complex replacement of the system,using Web Service technology to develop a set of distributed systems is more harm than good.One solution to this problem is to develop a set of common transform middleware based on CORBA and Web Service.The middleware can solve the compatibility problem between the new system and the existing system,and also help the existing system to gradually transition to the new system,while effectively reducing development costs.This paper studies issues of the CORBA system to the Web Service system transition and put forward the common transformation middleware based on CORBA and Web Service,which uses RESTful Web Service to design.For the re-development of the old CORBA system to the Web Service system,this paper provides a CORBA to Web Service middleware,which will extend the functionality of the old CORBA system to the Internet environment;for the newly developed Web Service compatible with CORBA system,this paper provides a Web Service to CORBA middleware,which solves the compatibility problems between the old and new systems and transition issues.This paper describes the overall architecture,mapping specification and implementation scheme of these two middleware,and analyzes their other attributes and shortcomings in the last part.
