Research On The Theory,Method And Application Of Data Warehouse System

Data warehouse is a new research field in current information field .The traditional database is the main information source of data warehouse system. Through the technology of On-Line-Analytical-Processing (OLAP), data mining and so on, data warehouse can analyse a great deal of data and information and transform data into information. The results of analysis present in the form of multidimensional view to support the senior leaders?decision. Firstly, based on the literature review, the thesis researches the basic theory and key technologies of data warehouse. A comprehensive conception of data warehouse is proposed, then the meaning of data warehouse, data warehouse system and data warehousing is clarified, the connection among data warehouse system, MIS and DSS is explained, and the realizing method and steps of key technologies is discussed. Secondly, According to the basic theory of data warehouse and the traditional methods of development information engineering, the spiral development method by stages is proposed. The new method of design data warehouse --information package skill and start schema technology is improved and optimized. The conceptions of gradation entity, classified entity and gradation table, classified table and detailed table are proposed. Then, applying the theory and methodizes into practice, the planning department of xuanhua agricultural chemical factory data warehouse system --XNY-PDWS is designed. At the end, the achievements are summarized, the directions of data warehouse research and development are pointed out.
