University Students' Employment Disadvantaged Problems Underthe New Situation

With the enlargement of the scale of our higher education, especially the consecutiveenrollment since 1999, makes the number of the higher school students increased on a largescale, college education changed from Elite Education to Mass Education gradually. Thestudents after increased enrollment has graduated from school and entered into the societyone after another, the problem of employment difficulty and prompt unemployment aftergraduation becomes more and more serious, and most of them belong to the disadvantagedgroup in employment. The appearance of this group brings unprecedented pressure to theirfamily, higher schools and the nation. If the problem can't be resolved down to earth, it willcause huge impact to the maintaining of the social harmony and and the construciton of awell–off society, and to some extent, it will bring a negative direction to the generaleducation.Beginning from studying the related concepts of the disadvantaged group in employment,This paper discusses and analyses in detail the causes, types, characteristcs, and its cocialharm of this group. The paper point out that the cause of the disadvantaged group inemployment has the external objective reasons of the students, but more importantly by theirsubjective internal reasons. The paper analyses scientifically in different aspects like itscauses, weakness degrees, and its characteristics. Also the paper analyses the employmentstatus of the disadvantaged group from the five aspects of the students with economicdiffiulties, the disabled students, the students with psychological illnesses , the students withlow academic degree and females students. Besides, the paper summaries five maincharacteristics of the disadvantaged group. Depending on the causes of the group,by referingto big amount of literature, consulting related experts,and designing some evaluationquestionnaires, the paper carry out a related empirical reserch, and get the realistic conclusion. The peper gives some specific solutions to resovling the problem of the emplyment of thedisadvantaged group from the aspects of social plicy support, the comprehensive quality ofthe students, the cocial capital accumulation and the improvement of the guidancesystem tostudents'employment. This reserch has a big reference significance to the implementation ofhuman-oriented college education concept, to the scientific ways of quality educaiton, to theprofessional career planning of the students and to the policy formulation of the relevantgovernment support.
