Research On The Mechanism Of College Students Study Guide Under The Credit System

The higher education gross enrollment rate in our country has increased from 9% to 19% during 1997and 2004, which means higher education in China historically entered the stage of internationally-recognized popularization. In order to meet the needs of the social development, the thick foundation,adaptable talents should be cultivate, the current education resources should be fully played. Above this, most colleges and universities have implemented the credit system.The condition that the credit system is implemented, the guarantee of credit implementation has caused the scholars'widely concerns over recent years. However, there is few study on the guarantee mechanism of credit system in both domestic and abroad, and most researches focus on undergraduate mentoring, curriculum resources, student management system etc. such as the literature-Class Tutorial System:Practice and Research of Jia-Xiang Xiang(2008 edition) is the one concentrated on the tutorial system. Based on the former studies, this paper studies on the the Mechanism of college students study guide under the Credit system.This paper is an investigation. Firstly, on the bases of understanding the meaning of credit system, we explained the definition and character of the Mechanism of college students study guide under the Credit system. Then, we conducted the study through questionnaires, interviews, etc. and describe the following aspects, such as the public course Class Construction,the tutorial system,housing Counselors system and academic affairs management of the E-University. Besides, we also identify the advantages and disadvantages of implementation of the student guide mechanism in E-University. Finally, we learned from the successful experiences both domestic and aboard, and gave advices on improvement:(a) focusing on the curriculum and promoting the learning areas construction; (b) improving the tutorial system and making the students benefit from the guidance; (c) concentrating on college dormitories and promoting the students community construction;(d) improving the efficiencies of the academic affairs management and giving play to the guidance to students study.
