| Background: HIV infected rates among men who have sex with men(MSM) rose rapidly, and a considerable proportion of people have dual sexual behavior. The special behavioral characteristics in the married MSM may increase the risk of to that infected by HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, and the possibility of spreading these dieases to the family and the society.Objective:1.To understand the demographic characteristics, the status of marriage and family, HIV and syphilis infection among married MSM in Beijing.2.To explore the sexual characteristics, high-risk behaviors and the related risk factors among the married MSM.Method: This study recruited objects from the MSM cohort recruited by Beijing You An Hospital,and snowball sampling by key men.With their comprehension and admission, we used the self-administered questionnaire questionnaires and face to face semi-structured in-depth interviews to collect the information about the basic conditions and sexual behavior characteristics among Beijing married MSM,then did some comparison of these situations with non-married MSM.Acquired the population HIV and syphilis infectied rates by the laboratory test. Quantitative data was input by EpiData3.02,and cleaned and analysed by SPSS13.0 analysis software.Used mean and standard deviation, frequency distribution to describe the basic condition of data, t test or rank sum test analysis to analyze the differences of continuous variables between the two groups, chi-square test to analyze the differences in categorical variables between groups, chi-square partition method to compare the differences in two groups. Qualitative interview records were arranged by the researcher, coded and exported by ATLAS.ti6.0,then were inducted.Results:In demographic characteristics, the age is older than non-married MSM in the married group, and the proportion of people who have a definite career is higher than another two groups.The married group's average marriage age is 24.09±2.44years, more than 90%of the population already had children now.The main reason for choosing marriage is to satisfy the expectations of parents and families. In marriage the MSM often feel pressure and guilty for his wife or male sex partner.In sexual behaviour, the non-married MSM and married MSM group was no significant difference in same-sex sexual behavior. In heterosexual sex,because the married MSM thought the use of condoms with marital sexual partner may lead suspicion from sexual partners, so the proportion that never used condom when have sex with heterosexual sexual partner was. relatively high, it was 40.7%, rather than the ratio in the non-married group, 23.8%.The HIV infection rate among married group is 7.7%,the syphilis infection is 21.4%.Conclusion:Married MSM has its special characteristics in social psychological status and sexual behaviour.They are afraid that make their wives know their sexual orientation,and they may have sexual activity with same sexual partners out of their marriages,and has low condom using in heterosexual relationship.So the sexual transmitted diseases' spreading from the high-risk population to the general population through them is possible.Therefore,people should enhance the behaviour intervention and psychological counseling to reduce the incidence of STDs.
