| With the development of postgraduate education, graduate students have become an important force of the groups of researches. It is benefit to enhance their research efficiency and level by satisfying their information needs. However, the information needs and information behavior of postgraduates are influenced by changeable research environment seriously. So it is necessary to study the information needs and information behavior of postgraduates under new environment.Firstly, research literature about information behavior is summarized to address the significance of the current research and application. Based on the achievements in literature of information behavior, this thesis puts forward a questionnaire about information needs and information behavior of postgraduates. Moreover, we investigate and get the data from a sample set consisted of postgraduates in the Chinese Academy of Sciences.Secondly, based on the survey data, descriptive statistic method is employed to analyze the overview of information needs about postgraduates. Moreover, ANOVA method is used to study the influence of postgraduate's state on information needs. The empirical result shows that there is not significant difference among the postgraduates with different features.Thirdly, the basic situation of information behavior of postgraduates is introduced and some common problems are summarized. The thesis applies the SEM to model the relationship between information behavior and common problems. At last, it proposes some measures to satisfy the information need of postgraduate.The thesis develops a model to study the information needs and information behavior of postgraduates. It not only provides a scientific basis to systematically study the problem of information behavior, but also helps libraries to improve the quality of service continually. |
