Research On The Influence Factors Of Information Encounter In Postgraduates' Scientific Information Acquisition

In the field of information study,scholars tend to focus on the information behavior of active query.Researchers are concerned about explicit,specific and proactive information seeking and the system's feedback on specific search strategies.Although the information seeking is an important form to obtain the information,there are many other ways to get the information.We call such a phenomenon or this way to obtaining the information “serendipity”.As researchers with frequent information conduct and huge demand of information,they will also,experiencing the seeking-feedback service,as to them,serendipity has became an important supplement to their active information retrieval.In this article,I will give an in-depth description of the excitation factors of serendipity from three aspects: Information demand,information users and information cognition.Analyze the three factors of serendipity: personal,environment and information,and explain the relationship between them.Then describe the usage of serendipity from the dimension of serendipity's function.The subjects were postgraduate students.The experimental data collected by means of interview and questionnaire.According to the experimental data,we can summary the influencing factors of serendipity in obtaining information.List the specific factors,analysis the influencing factors of positive or negative effect in influencing factors,and analysis the influence on the degree of serendipity.Finally,based on the summary of above conclusion and experimental results,bring some methods to promote the benefit of acquisition and utilization of encounter information.The methods including improving the information literacy education model;optimizing the existing research information acquisition system;based on the perspective of personal information management,giving the methods to manage the accidental information.
