Since the founding of our country, the government adjusted the retiring age many times. But every time there are always differences between the sexes of the policy, means male and female in different retiring age. Why this difference is would have been all the time? What's the problem behind the difference? Many scholars at home and abroad claim that male and female should have the same retiring age. What's the teachers' attitude about the retiring age of male and female? The research uses the gender theory as the perspective, and chooses the university teachers as the object, adopts documentary study, questionnaire survey and interviewing method, researches and analyses our male and female retiring age.The study found that a considerable portion of people between Lanzhou University teachers have higher levels of awareness and recognition on our current retiring age policy. Meanwhile, the university teachers are also looking forward to reform the current retiring age policy, especially expect for the flexible retirement higher, and there is a big difference of opinion for the retiring age between male and female, but most teachers more support for relax retiring age of female teachers. Research also found that title, subject background and sex impact the university teachers'attitude on the retiring age.The retiring age is a complex issue, involving life expectancy, the aging of society levels, social labor supply and demand, old age pension, and many other aspects, so the reform must be cautious. We believe that the new policy adjustment should take two principles:the premise of gender equality and differentiate professional, small steps, gradual reform the policy. This text only do a preliminary exploration on our retiring age of male and female under the gender perspective, and the complexity of the issue remains to be further discussion. |
