Development On The Gender Outlook Of Contemporary Female College Students

There are large or small delvlopment and change of each aspects of society sincethe21th-Century. Female college students who are one of the main forces which leadto social development become more positive in the thought and behavior. As the sometime, they are become more important to socitey development. Under such socialcircumstance, the research on the gender outlook of contemporary female collegestudents will help to acquaint their idea and consciousness deeply and to exploitfemale college student’s human resources. The result can provide service for the westcoast strait economic zones construction.Sampling questionnaire survey and interview on gender outlook were appliedamong1250campus students in five colleges in Fuzhou in this paper. Based on socialgender theory，the gender outlook of contemporary female college students wasanalyzed in detail with statistical analysis methods such as single variable frequencydescriptive analysis and bivariate interaction classification Statistics. The followinggroup comparative analysis was made between male college students and femalecollege students, between college students who were born from1980to1989andcollege students who were born after1990, between female students who come fromfemale colleges and students who come from general colleges, between femalecollege students who come from cities and towns and college students who comefrom rural areas, between female college students who come from fujian province andcollege students who come other provinces. The results are as follows:(1) The gender outlook of contemporary female college students had greatprogresses. They have stronger gender equality awareness and significant rationalcharacteristics. Because traditional gender outlook still have more obvious effect onthe gender outlook of contemporary female college students, the gender outlook ofcontemporary female college students have both sides. For example, when they areface to the conflict between family and occupation, they always show contradictorypsychology. (2)Due to the stereotype of gender role in the sex socialization, there aresignificant differences between male and female college students on genderoutlook.So, related factors of sex socialization have important influence on thegender outlook formation.(3) Group comparative analysis between college students who were born from1980to1989and college students who were born after1990showed that genderequality awareness gradually become a mainstream concept in the gender outlook ofcollege students. But times background such as utilitarianism and money worshiphavegreatly effect on gender outlook of college students.(4) Characteristic course and campus culture in the female colleges will help tocultivate more reasonable gender outlook of female college students.(5) Community factor also have effect on gender outlook of female collegestudents. Urban-rural difference are most significant while regional differencegradually weaken.
