Teacher are the base of education plan.Good teachers have good education. In recent years, according to statistics from the Ministry of Education, the proportion of female teachers in China's primary school teachers is increasing, while the proportion of male teachers is getting smaller and smaller. In the elementary school stage, regardless of whether or not the teacher is aware of it,the teacher's profound influence on the student's individual ideas and behaviors actually exists. From the perspective of behavior, this study explores whether there are differences between male and female teachers in different behaviors of pupils. The research mainly used experimental methods, field observation methods, and interview methods.Three experiments were conducted in this study. All three experiments were double-blind.In experiment 1,the gender of teachers was used as the intersubject variables. The internal variables of the participants were the behavioral types of pupils: positive, negative, and neutral.Two-by-three mixed design was used to investigate whether there were differences between male and female teachers' behavioral responses to pupils.Experiment 2 and experiment 3 both use a 2×2 two-factor mixed design to investigate whether there are differences between male and female teachers' positive behavioral responses to primary school boys and girls, and whether there are differences between male and female teachers' negative behavioral responses to elementary school boys and girls. All experiments were programmed using E-prime 2.0 software.Experimental materials were taken from pictures of elementary school pupils in the CCTV documentary “Our Elementary School”.Validation was performed in advance. After the completion of the experiment, field observations and interviews with men and women teachers were conducted over the past two months. The results of the study are as follows:(1)There are significant differences between male and female teachers' responses to primary school pupils' different behaviors.(2)There are significant differences in the responses of male and female teachers to positive behaviors of pupils. In terms of positive behaviors of primary school students, teachers of the same gender have significant differences in the positive behavioral responses of primary school boys and girls. Moreover, both male and female teachers respond more quickly to the positive behavior of primary school boys than to the positive behavior of girls.(3)There is a significant difference between male and female teachers' responses to pupils' negative behaviors. However,in the negative behavior of pupils, there is no difference in the responses of pupils of the same gender to primary pupils of different genders.(4)There is no interaction between teacher gender and pupil behavior.(5)Field observation found that in the classroom, male students were more likely to be asked questions by female and male teachers to answer questions and have more classroom performance opportunities than female students. The male and female teachers' criticisms and punishments of primary school pupils for class misconduct(negative behaviors)are not treated differently by the sex of the actors.(6)It was found through interviews that male and female teachers had some stereotyped stereotypes about pupils. At the same time, both men and women believe that increasing the number of male teachers is more conducive to the growth and development of primary school students.
