Writing teaching is always the focus of Chinese teaching and research. The Chinese teaching material is not only the main carrier of Chinese curriculum, but also an important media of teaching reading and writing. Therefore, it is meaningful to study language teaching material for the actual Chinese teaching. After reviewing of the history of one hundred years of Chinese textbook in our country, we found that the Chinese Eighty Class(CEC)hold a special place in the history. It focuses on the training of reading and writing, giving the Chinese discipline scientific nature and it is of great reference value for writing teaching with the guiding principle of "Wen Hua" Therefore, this paper selects the CEC and Chinese textbooks for junior middle school published by Jiangsu Education Publishing Press (JSCT) as a comparative object. The goal of this paper is to propose several constructive suggestions for writing teaching at present after comparative analysis on the writing system in CEC and JSCT.This paper is divided into three parts:the background of CEC and JSCT is discussed in the first section. Firstly, the objectives of writing teaching and recommendations for teaching materials in the "Primary Chinese Curriculum Standard" in1932and "Chinese Curriculum Standard In the Compulsory Stage "are introduced respectively in the section. Secondly, the writing ideal of the two sets of teaching materials is carded simply. Then a better understanding of the restricting factors in the writing of the two sets of teaching textbooks would be presented through the analysis from three different perspectives. The characteristic of writing systems in CEC and JSCT is illustrated in the section two. The writing system in CEC is mainly embedded in the "Wen Hua" system, while the writing system in JSCT is embedded in writing subjects. After analysis of the CEC, the characteristic of the writing system in the former material can be concluded as:setting up scientific writing sequence, teaching system, and achieving the combination of reading and writing. The characteristic of the latter material can be described as:establishing a reasonable sequence of writing teaching, promoting the combination of reading and writing, giving attention to the writing body’s emotion value, training on the ability of thinking, and paying attention to developing the ability of modifying articles. Comments and suggestions, the core part of this article, are presented in section three. Firstly, after making a comparative analysis of the characteristics of two sets of teaching materials writing systems, we realized that there are some different aspects in the common characteristics. Although they both construct scientific writing sequences, the emphasis is different. Despite paying more attention to the connection between writing and life, the goal and the clear degree are different. Secondly, according to the results of the analysis, four pieces of Suggestions on JSCT are put forward in this paper. Namely, distinguishing the function of selecting articles, improving the degree of certainty in the Chinese teaching materials, re-examining the classification of present articles, pay same attention to writing form and content, and attaching importance to practical writing.
