With the technological development, human society has entered into a new digital information era, e-learning arises and provides new paradigm and vast prospect of application for changing traditional school education. Today, e-learning is being put more and more attention and researched, and found in basic education in all kinds. However, what is its potential value of changing traditional primary and secondary school education? How is it applied in basic education? What is its state and future applied in Chinese basic education? There are many related research on such important issues in china, but some of them are superficial.Basing on clarifying the definition,features,and rise and development of e-learning, this thesis observes and studies its manners applied in primary and secondary school education in the macroscopic perspective. To sum up, there are three applied modes of e-learning: assisted mode, substituted mode, and blended mode, basing on literature study and case study. The thesis analyses the definition, factors,features, manners and cases of each mode. At last, it prospects the future of e-learning applied in Chinese basic education, and makes suggestion to stimulate more ideas for improving teaching and learning.
