As the advancement of science and technology and the rapid development of society, human resource has been more and more highly required. The old-fashioned concept of education, model of talent development, and the standard for judging the talent have become far unsuited to the demands aroused by the current development of the times and society. Under above background, the reform of the middle school physics teaching has become quite imperative.In this thesis, taking the constructivism theory as the basis and starting from the new education thought and concepts, we shall combine the features of physics course with the physiology and mentally analysis on middle school students and study the teaching design of middle school physics. It aims to promote the update of the physics teachers' concept in the middle school and transform the old model which regards the teacher, the class and the material as the paramount necessity into a new one in which all students are at the very core of teaching activities and their various situations are paid greater attention to. Moreover, integrating our practical experiences and the fruits of the course reform carried out in our school and adopting methods such as comparing, investigating, testing and so on, we shall explore and practice a new model of physics teaching design, which is suitable for the development of students' ability, in middle school.This thesis is divided into five chapters. In first chapter, we briefly summarize present situation of physics course reform and teaching design study in order to show the meaning and purpose of study on teaching design of middle school physics. In second chapter, the origin of trend of thought of constructivism as well as its general theory and concepts are introduced. Based on constructivism theory, the principles and steps of teaching design of middle school physics are put forward in third chapter. In forth chapter, we mainly discuss how to apply new teaching design models to the teachings of physics concept, physics laws, physics experiments and physics exercises, and illustrate it by using examples. A simple summary and the prospect of this thesis are given in fifth chapter.
