The entrance examination of physical education for middle school graduates(hereinafter refers to as middle school graduates physical exam) has developed for almost thirty years in China.It makes an activity promotion effect on carring forward the education for all-round development comprehensively, enhancing the physical work of school to a further step, and improve the health quality of numerous teenager students practically. But owing to the development of educational reform of China and decline of the level of student's health (especially physical stamina target), middle school graduates physical exam is faced with opportunities and challenges of reform and development.From 1992, Changzhou carried out a middle school graduates physical exam experiment(In september 2007, the ministry of education has put Tangshan, jingzhou, changzhou and other four cities as the first group of experimental cities in China.)and till now it has go through 17 years. Changzhou always insist on the work of physical exam, and make continuous reform introspection and exploration.This research is based on the results of Changzhou middle school graduates physical exam of resent 3 years, middle school graduates exam policy documents and parts of grade nine students, their parents and teachers as the study object. This research adopts the study by means of literature and information method, data and statistics method, questionnaire method, expert interview and so on. This research analysis the reform course , implement actuality,and character and effect of middle school graduates physical exam of Changzhou. It is mainly focus on the study of implementary actuality and the issues of teaching,evaluation,range of marks, standard, projects,schedules, check and accept of results,teacher development,and lifelong consciousness etc.that occurred during operation.It put forward the research conclusion and suggestion of development that offers the reference for further reform and execution of middle school graduates physical exam system.The research shows that the entrance examination of physical education for middle school graduates in Changzhou is in line with the education for all-round development, and made a irreplaceable function for the middle school graduates of physical and mental development. The reform of middle school exam is to perfect the mode and mechanism of judgement and avoid examination-oriented education systeem. It is not enough that just enhance the physical exercises of teenager by middle school physical exam. The exercises are organic process that run through the three years junior school study. So we should emphasis on the processes of physical education in school.This research gives developmental countermeasure according to the research result, and considers that the relations between teach, learn and test of middle school physical exam in changzhou should be cooperated in a right way. The rules and regulations should be strictly carried out and attaching importance to students' main status, focusing on students' feeling and emotion and trying best to made physical exercises becoming their life long demands.
