With the development of teaching theories and practice,the concept of teaching and learning has gradually changed.The previous behaviorism which emphasis on transmission and inculcation of knowledge treatsthe learners as the objects of knowledge and view knowledge as objective existence;and then cognitivism based on computer algorithm simulation focuson the process of knowledge input into brain and to memory,to understand and processing,and also the internal mechanism of simulate,abstract and refine knowledge and its storage processing,Which emphasis on teaching for understanding;and now constructivism emphasizes the individuals' cognitive structure.This structure create a situation which out of individual in order to promote the construction of knowledge. For the past twenty years,teaching models which based on this theory spring up like mushrooms,and promotes the situated learning and brings plenty of academic researches and teaching practice.As an old topic,there is a long history of research on the relationship between situation and teaching.While as an new issue,the relationship add more meaning.Specially,with the development of virtual reality technology,the study of situation and the teaching significance of virtual situation seem to be very necessary and also important.This thesis will discuss several questions as follow:First,the author discussed the essence of situation from conception analyzation to deep meaning;provide a variety of perspective view of situated learning. And then it discussed the relationship of situation and teaching.The author analyzed the situated learning theory and teaching model both in China and Western,and made comparative studies between them,which deepen the understanding of the relationship.Moreover,it discussed the issue of virtual situation and instruction design.With the development of virtual reality, it provided a new platform for instruction design.The author analyzed the characteristic and function of virtual situation, and the problem between virtual and reality,and situation creation and instruction design.This discussion provide a rationale and practice scheme for the development and educational application of constructivism, and open a new view for instruction design in virtual reality.
