As economy develops rapidly, large numbers of technicians with high quality and practical ability are needed. As the trainning base, junior technical school is very important. The Chinese course is vital in the teaching and learning system. Chinese learning is a complicated process --- a congnitive process depending on both intellectual factors and non-intellectual factors. In a sense, the latter plays a decisive role in chinese learning. As a part of non-intellectual factors, motivation is the inner power of Chinese learning and has a great effect.The author has been working in teaching field for ten years. Through his long-time observation and research, the author finds that many vocational students lack inner motivation in the study process.Many researchers are limited in the General education and rarely involved in vocational education. This thesis focuses on stimulating and cultivating motivation practically.The thesis firstly summarizes the successful experience as the theoretical basis, and then investigates and analyses the status quo of our school, grasps the characteristics of the learning motivation and finally conducts the urgency and necessity of motivation research in the Vocational School.Based on reality, three principles are formulated to stimulate and cultivate the inner motivation of students. long run and short run motivation should be Combined, attention should be paid to various levels of students, and inner motivation should be mainly focused on. A series of practical classroom teaching strategies are raised in line with secondary school students in the following aspects: creating classroom environment, designing teaching mission, designing teaching process and evaluation, and more importantly, mobilizing the enthusiasm of the students by practical activities. Practice proved that the author has made some achievement in this area.
