Teaching how to write composition is very important in Chinese-teaching in Middle Schools. But it is anxious that most of students can't write very well, for they are lacking in enthusiasm and interesting in writing. They have got no motivation to write and they think it is difficult to write compositions. It is most probably because Chinese teachers teach nothing but what is examed. The lack of motivation to write compositions results in neglecting students' interests and passion. Motivation theory is discussed in the essay. It analyses how does motive affect writing with the theory of psychology. In order to make students want to write compositions, form their interest to write and improve their ability to write, the author express strategies to increase students' intention to write in composition-teaching. Then students won't just write for exams. |
