Firstly, based on the historical background of matrix, this paper proposes the necessity of studying the teaching design of Matrix and Transformation to keep abreast of the new course of senior high school. Secondly, the writer defines the concept of mathematics teaching design, and indicates the guiding ideology and the two types of it. Considered the feasibility of practice, this paper educes the flow chart of mathematics teaching design at last.To write an effective teaching design of Matrix and Transformation, we must first have a full understanding of the teaching materials and related information (taking the Xiangjiao Version as an example) of Matrix and Transformation. This article analyses the teaching materials from five aspects in detail. In order to make better use of the teaching materials; a questionnaire for some teachers has been made. The writer explains the eight difficulties and solves the puzzles of it. The deficiencies in compiling of the teaching materials and the teaching materials' impacts on the students' thinking ways are pointed out as well.Then, the procedures of mathematics teaching design are analyzed in seven aspects clearly, including the interpretation of curriculum aims, the analysis of teaching materials and students's situation, the establishment of teaching aims, the design of teaching activities, the formation of teaching scheme and the appraisal of teaching design. Then, the design of teaching activities is introduced in six sorts according to the examples in the teaching materials. This paper also proposes the eight standards for evaluating the teaching plan and the proof for instituting this subject. The writer draws up a mock paper with detailed explains and mutual catalogue. Furthermore, taken the examples from the Xiangjiao Version, the writer designs three teaching plans to illuminate the design of the mathematics conception teaching, the mathematical problem solving teaching, and the review course teaching respectively.Finally, this paper points out the remaining issues caused by the deficiency of conditions during the study.
