"The Reflective Learning" accords with the ideas of"Charging the Students ' Learning Ways" in the standard of the course in geography.It is especially important to study the regional geography.It is necessary for the reform of the new courses that teachers use the scientific effective teaching strategy to foster students' ability in reflective learning.Having based on the research of the theory documents,we designed a questionnaire making an investigation into the present conditions of one hundred and sixty-eight students in two different schools in Nanping.We found the students' ability in reflective learning about the regional geography is generally weak and the students are much too dependent on their teachers' direction.Through analyzing the causes,looking up the data,combining the predecessors' results of research,we put forward the five teaching strategies on the reflective learning of the regional geography:intensifying the students' reflective consciousness; creating the circumstances of a rethink for students;fostering the students' skill of a rethink; intensifying the students' perseverance of a rethink;setting up the interactive relation of a rethink.We also designed the following concrete measures:guiding the students into rethinking and making a summation of every class and every geography question in each unit; mastering the synthetical reading about the map information;strengthening the rethink and comparison between the confused knowledge points;using the thought guiding charts to create reflective circumstances;guiding students into writing down the study diaries about rethinking;making a evaluation of rethinking oneself;setting up the files of the students' studying geography;holding the exchange meetings of studying geography,and so on.This research comes from the comparison experiment between the two classes of the ninety-five students for a whole term in Grade Eight in Nanping No.3 Middle School.We get the following experiment results:The students have obviously improved their reflective levels, and they have intensified their abilities in reflective learning,and they have made a great progress in study marks.The result shows that the teaching strategy adopted in the experiment is reasonable and effective.It is favorable to the students' full-scale development and lifelong study.And the teaching strategy has the operational property.
